In her six years with Knutson Construction, Aalayha Traub has led major initiatives in virtual design and construction while deepening the Minneapolis-based company’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially over the past few years. Through Knutson’s Career Pathways Committee, Traub has partnered with such organizations as Lake Street Works, connecting youth to opportunities in construction. Her department has hosted an internship pipeline for more than three years, and Traub has mentored emerging professionals and displaced workers. Shaping the industry at large, she also chairs the youth committee for the Ramsey County Workforce Innovation Board, advocating for inclusive training and hiring policies.
