Joan Firnhaber has dedicated 25 years to Cushman & Wakefield (plus its predecessor company, United Properties), excelling in interior design and property and construction management. Today, she leads the Bloomington-based real estate firm’s project and development team, overseeing a group of seven project managers to deliver turnkey construction management services. In 2024, her team completed more than 200 projects, earning $2.1 million in fees. Firnhaber also drives community outreach, leading clothing and food donations and other volunteer events via the Institute of Real Estate Management. “Through her dedication and personal, professional approach, she has developed strong relationships with many of our largest investor clients,” says Bill Starcevich, the team’s senior managing director.
