Henry Jiménez has held leadership positions at two prominent nonprofit community development financial institutions (CDFIs) in the past five years: the Latino Economic Development Center and Propel Nonprofits. In February, he joined Minneapolis-based Propel Nonprofits, an intermediary helping nonprofits better understand the essentials of strong finance, strategy, and governance. He seamlessly transitioned into providing thought leadership and, in his first year, has continued to advocate for what nonprofits need to make an impact, such as capital in the form of contracts, grants, and loans, as well as investment in a wave of new leaders. He serves on the board of the Opportunity Finance Network, a membership organization that supports CDFIs across the country. In this role, he has visited the White House and spoken with lawmakers about the importance of investing in Minnesota and the Midwest.
