Charlie Perkins is an active and impactful volunteer in the Rochester area after recently retiring from media support services at Mayo Clinic, occupying leadership roles with multiple community organizations across southeast Minnesota. As board vice chair of United Way of Olmsted County, Perkins has been integral in shaping the organization’s future as it undergoes regional expansion to support its mission of offering educational, health, and financial support opportunities. For the past year, he has chaired a working group to set the strategic direction of the organization as well as oversee operations and governance to support sustainable geographic growth and the service delivery model. Perkins is active in other southeast Minnesota nonprofits, having served on the board of Next Chapter Ministries for six years and recently completing a term as board chair of Recovery Is Happening.
