Aaron Nielsen leads a team focused on everything IT, from maintaining infrastructure to managing cybersecurity at Mall of America. Keeping innovation, problem-solving, and collaboration top of mind, Nielsen and his team work to create a more robust network that allows tenants and attractions to exceed customer needs and expectations. Some of his recent initiatives at the Bloomington mall include new coding for the self-service information kiosks and redesigning the rotunda screen. Nielsen’s team also led efforts to design and implement a proprietary digital wayfinding system, an accomplishment they were invited to present to a congressional committee.
