Wells Fargo Hiring 174 at Shoreview Office
Less than two weeks after media reports indicated that San Francisco-based Wells Fargo & Company planned to lay off fewer than 150 local brokerage operations employees, the company said Tuesday that it will hire about 174 customer service representatives locally.
Wells Fargo, which employs about 20,000 in Minnesota and is one of the state's largest employers, said it will hire employees over the next two months for its customer contact center in Shoreview. The positions available are for banking customer service representatives who respond to telephone calls about Wells Fargo products and services.
Newly hired employees for the positions-which are full-time and also include a comprehensive benefits package-will work directly with customers, just like bankers in Wells Fargo stores, to serve customers and meet their financial needs. A six-week training course will be provided for them, the company said in a statement.
Compensation will vary based on experience and ranges between $11.86 and $15.18 per hour, plus incentive pay based on performance.
To be considered for the open positions, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum of one year of prior sales experience.
