When it comes to social media, many clients come in overwhelmed and frustrated. Social media is a necessity for most businesses, but many don’t know where to start. Here are some steps we recommend to help kick start your social media presence:
Make your brand known and interact with your customers. Be social.
Understand your customers’ traits: what motivates them, interests them, etc. It’s like your friends— some like a night on the town and others like a game night in with wine.
Know your Platform
Not all social media platforms are created equal, and it is better to be focused and effective on two or three, than to be spread thin across too many platforms.
Once research is complete, create a strategy, process, and content calendar. We typically recommend the 4-1-1 rule for posts: 4 entertaining, 1 soft sell, and 1 hard sell. Monthly team brainstorms are a helpful way to keep content fun. Also work to have a unified brand for all posts, while using the content calendar to add variety.
Continually track to learn from your results and adjust your strategy to improve success. By making your content human, shareable and available, you’ll see results.
