Enter co-working. The concept started on the coasts and turned up in the Twin Cities this year. The idea is to create a space where telecommuters, entrepreneurs, and other floating professionals can come to work and benefit from the socializing and serendipity that happens in an office. The 3rd Place, in St. Paul’s St. Anthony Park neighborhood, and CoCo, in downtown St. Paul, opened the same week in January. Members pay daily or monthly rates for access to wi-fi, workstations, and, of course, co-workers to chat and network with.
