A fundraising event for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest, was designed to be uplifting, family friendly, and fun. The event support company provided the décor elements, including white linens, yellow chair covers, and polka dot chair sashes. The perimeter of the room was draped with sheer white fabric, and the ballroom was lit with blue light and polka dot gobo patterns. Frosted corrugated plastic circles were used to created both a backdrop and large chandeliers. The company also provided a custom-built replica of the organization’s logo to frame the entryway and 70 detailed centerpieces.
The installation of the perimeter drape had to be finished before the audio-visual and lighting crews could begin their work. The project manager coordinated groups of volunteers to assemble the centerpieces and to set table linens and chair covers and sashes. The volunteers also participated in tearing down the space, counting and separating linens, and deconstructing centerpieces.
