2018 Meetings and Events Resource Guide
The thousands of visitors who came to Minnesota for Super Bowl LII offered the hospitality industry an opportunity to shine.
The sheer volume of special events, dinners, receptions and celebrations tested event planners and all of the people who provided the creativity and service to carry them off. That experience places Minnesota in an excellent position to capitalize on attracting future national events.
Minnesota’s ability to bring new dollars to the state from visitors also has been aided by expansions at the Mall of America and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and investments in light rail and the renovation of Nicollet Mall. U.S. Bank Stadium, TCF Bank Stadium and the newly renovated Target Center are new or upgraded venues that can be used for national and local events.
A diverse group of private businesses and independent contractors provide the flowers, catered food, entertainment and other services to support national, state and local events.
Every year Twin Cities Business publishes a Meetings and Events Resource Guide that chronicles nine categories of hospitality businesses. This directory is designed to help companies and trade associations identify the professional partners they need to stage successful events.
