The owners of a planned luxury condominium tower in downtown St. Paul wanted a weekend-long event to attract buyers. It included a cocktail reception, a VIP preview opening, and a public grand opening for a total of 1,200 people.

The event was held in a series of tents set up on a parking lot where the building will eventually be constructed. Valets greeted guests and directed them to a concierge desk to register. In the main guest area, they were offered food and drink and then moved to the sales center, where they could see the scale model of the property.

Because it had to create an event space over a construction site, the event team chose to put up the tents on a raised flooring and ramp system. The decor—including the colors and custom rental furniture—reflected the marketing materials and the planned building’s interior design.

The event helped to sell more than $37,500,000 worth of real estate in three days.
