annual sales of $1 million to 2,700 salons—more than any other company
anywhere—with sales in 2007 of $650 million. In 2006 and again in 2007
Entrepreneur magazine named Great Clips as one of the nation’s top-25
fastest-growing franchises. Barton’s goal: 3,000 salons in 2009 with sales in
excess of $1 billion.

Has served on the boards of directors of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools and Junior Achievement Association of the Upper Midwest.
