Collin Barr provides executive leadership to the Minnesota Regional office of Ryan Companies, which have $800 million in annual revenue and manage almost 11 million square feet of space. Barr has built a reputation for developing successful projects in both suburban and urban areas by having headed the development of hotel, office, and a variety of mixed-use projects. Among the projects he has headed in Minneapolis alone are the development of Target’s corporate headquarters, the Sheraton Minneapolis Midtown Hotel, the Westin Minneapolis Hotel, the 900 Nicollet Target store, and the U.S. Bancorp Center and Office Tower.

Spouse: Brenda, married June 14, 1985.
Children: CJ, Connor, and Austin.
Education: Bachelor of Arts from Bethel College in St. Paul—business major, economics and math minors; MBA in finance and organizational leadership from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis.

He is a member of the Edina Country Club, the Minneapolis Club, and the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties’ Corenet.

Key achievements: Served as student body president at Bethel University; served as student body president at Denver Christian High School; led the redevelopment of the new Westin Minneapolis in the former F&M Bank building in downtown Minneapolis; led the development of three contiguous blocks of Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis totaling 3.5 million square feet of office, retail, and parking space—including the Target corporate headquarters, the US Bancorp headquarters, the Piper Jaffray headquarters, a two-story Target store, and Ryan Companies’ national headquarters.
