Mark Sheffert, the founder and CEO of Manchester Companies, has more than 30 years of experience in investment banking, finance, turnaround management, and strategic planning. He has served as a member of the boards of directors of 40 companies, perhaps most notably as chairman of the Health Fitness Corporation during its recent turnaround phase. In 2006, the Turnaround Management Association awarded him with the Upper Midwest Turnaround of the Year Award, and in 1999, he was the recipient the National Turnaround of the Year Award. He is a former president of First Bank System (now US Bancorp), a $28 billion bank holding company; and former chairman of First Trust, one of the nation’s largest trust companies. He is a columnist for Twin Cities Business and a recipient of its Outstanding Directors award.
