David Burda (twitter.com/@davidrburda, email@example.com) is editorial director, health care strategies, for MSP-C, where he serves as the chief health care content strategist and health care subject matter expert, and was editor of Modern Healthcare, the industry’s leading health care business publication.
Dale leads content ideation and development for TCB’s magazine, events, e-newsletters and other products and services. Since becoming editor in chief in 2010, he has spearheaded the formation of several new-revenue projects and energized the TCB brand with more in-depth reporting projects, pertinent features and timely news stories; and a design refresh of its magazine and website. Under his direction,Twin Cities Business has earned more than 50 national and state journalism excellence awards. Dale also works as both an editor and a writer (his work has won several awards including best feature writing and best column writing) and is a weekly on-air business news contributor for CBS’s WCCO radio and Gannett’s KARE-11 TV. Before joining TCB, he formed and led corporate communications for a $5 billion division of Fortune-14 UnitedHealth Group, and led internal communications at Lawson Software as it doubled in size through an international merger. Prior to this, he pioneered a new approach to financial journalism as founder and CEO of Profits Journal, a business he ran for seven years; was editor of Business Ethics magazine; and worked for Business Week, Dow Jones, Gannett and the Business Journal in Milwaukee and Minneapolis.
