Medina-based Polaris Inc. has hired former Michelin executive Victor Koelsch as its first chief digital officer. Koelsch will lead the vehicle manufacturer’s efforts to integrate digital technologies into products, services, and experiences. He’ll also help create new business solutions and digital offerings.
For the last 14 years, Koelsch has held leadership roles for French tire manufacturer Michelin, starting as chief information officer and then moving to president of original equipment. He later became Michelin’s chief operating officer of North America. In these roles, Koelsch deployed new “digitally-enabled” service offerings and business models, according to Polaris.
Koelsch also served as Michelin’s first chief digital officer.
Polaris CEO Scott Wine said that Koelsch has “made a career of developing and implementing market-leading technology solutions” and that Koelsch would “leverage that acumen to augment our existing initiatives and spearhead Polaris’ digital future.”
Koelsch will report to both Wine and Polaris Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Mike Speetzen. Koelsch started his position on Monday.
