News of Minnesota business icon Irwin Jacobs’ murder-suicide sent shockwaves through the local business community this spring. So, it’s not surprising that TCB’s coverage of the incident figured prominently into our list of most-read stories in 2019.

Of course, stories on closings and openings ranked highly on the list, too. The closures of longtime toy retailer Creative Kidstuff and Mall of America’s go-karting attraction Smaaash both cracked the top 10.
