The amusement park is gearing up for its annual ValleyScare event, which runs from mid-September to end of October period.

Valleyfair is looking to up its headcount by 700 in anticipation of its annual Halloween attraction, ValleyScare.

The Shakopee-based amusement park said Tuesday it started taking applications for hundreds of character actors, ride attendants, food and beverage servers, and security personnel. Valleyfair said the positions offer competitive pay, flexible scheduling and special perks, such as an exclusive ride nights and tickets for friends and family.

“Working at ValleyScare in the fall is a great way to meet new friends and earn some extra cash on the weekends,” said Jason Spinosa, human resources director at Valleyfair, in a statement. “We have people who have been coming back to work at ValleyScare for years because it is so much fun and we offer some really great incentives.”

ValleyScare opens this year on Saturday, September 16 and runs each weekend through Sunday, October 29.
