Prince Exhibit With Never-Before-Shown Items Opens At Mall Of America
In coordination with Prince’s estate, the Mall of America revealed a temporary exhibit on Thursday called “Prince: The Artist, The Icon, The Legend.”

Many of the items on display, which come from the Paisley Park Archives, have never before been placed on exhibit. Showcased items include the wardrobe seen in Prince’s “Raspberry Beret” video and the custom-made outfit Prince wore to his 2004 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

“We’re pleased to partner with Paisley Park and join with them to celebrate the life and legacy of Prince,” said Mall of America’s senior vice president and business development Jill Renslow.

Renslow added that the exhibit, located on level three in the east wing, is expected to draw in fans from around the world.

The announcement follows a series of hiccups in the launch of guided tours through Paisley Park. Prince’s estate continues to work with the Chanhassen City Council on traffic and zoning concerns around the complex.

Meanwhile, it was revealed last week that Prince’s estate is actively searching for a buyer of the vault of unreleased music at Paisley Park. The current going rate for the music vault is said to be $35 million.

The Prince exhibit at Mall of America is free to attend and is expected to remain open until November 14.
