Local Events Execs. Launch New Agency

The newly launched Bedd Head Media will offer a combination of media buying, promotions, and event marketing services.

Two local marketing executives, Bruce Evans and Dan DeJaeger, in late January launched a marketing and event management agency called Bedd Head Media.

Bedd Head specializes in media buying, event marketing, promotions, and partnership marketing. Its event marketing offerings include production, on-site management, celebrity management, and seminars.

Prior to launching Bedd Head, Evans and DeJaeger both worked at the Minneapolis office of Marketplace Events, an Ohio-based company that produces consumer home shows across the country, including the Home and Garden Show. Evans and DeJaeger have collectively been responsible for marketing more than 20 Home and Garden Shows in 17 markets, according to a news release.

Before joining Marketplace Events in 2006, Evans was at ShopNBC, where he worked in corporate promotions and consumer marketing. He has also worked at several Minneapolis advertising agencies and has served clients including Got milk?, MoneyGram International, the American Heart Association, and Cost Cutters.

DeJaeger joined Marketplace Events as a marketing intern and later became its marketing manager. In that role, he was responsible for creative development and execution, including production of TV and radio spots.

Evans and DeJaeger, who own Bedd Head Media, will also manage the agency and are currently its only employees. The two plan to work out of their Twin Cities homes for now but hope to open an office in Minneapolis within a year, spokeswoman Ashley Franks told Twin Cities Business.
