Dale Kurschner, Editor In Chief

Dale leads content development, design, and marketing for our magazine, e-newsletters, website, and live events, as well as the overall direction of the TCB brand. He joined us in 2010 after starting and leading a corporate communications department for a newly formed, $5 billion division of UnitedHealth Group, and prior to that, managing internal communications for Lawson Software as it turned international and doubled in size through an acquisition. Before that he started and grew for seven years a financial research and publishing company; was editor of Business Ethics magazine; served as managing editor and acting editor of The Business Journal in Minneapolis; and worked for other publications and news services including BusinessWeek, Reuters, Dow Jones, and Gannett.

Adam Platt, Executive Editor

Adam Platt is executive editor at Twin Cities Business magazine, a position he has held since 2011. He assigns, edits, and writes features stories, concepts and edits our Starters section, and helps set the overall editorial course for the magazine while ensuring copy is flowing as it should. A seasoned journalist-turned-editor, he attended Macalester College in St. Paul, became a staff writer and media critic for the Twin Cities Reader, moved on to become editor of Casino Executive, and then joined Mpls.St.Paul magazine in 1998, where he served as executive editor until joining TCB.

Adam Wahlberg, Senior Editor

Adam Wahlberg became senior editor at Twin Cities Business magazine in July 2013. He manages our Spotlight section, edits stories and columns, manages special sections and supplements, and writes feature stories. From 1996 to 2010 he was the executive editor of Minnesota Law & Politics, and from 2010 through 2012 he was editor in chief of Super Lawyers. He's also the founder of Think Piece Publishing.

Liz Fedor, Trending Editor

Liz Fedor joined TCB in September 2013. She assigns, edits, and writes the magazine's Trending sections, which provide business leaders with the latest information on specific industries. She’s an 11-year veteran of the Star Tribune, where she reported on the airline industry and manufacturing, and supervised coverage of agriculture, consumer issues, and the housing market. Before that, she was editorial page editor, Minnesota political reporter, and a columnist at the Grand Forks Herald.

Burl Gilyard, Senior Writer

Burl Gilyard joined the magazine in July 2013 as senior writer, a role in which he writes major feature stories, as well as shorter stories for print, web, and our Briefcase e-newsletter. Prior to joining TCB, he worked as a staff writer for Finance & Commerce, covering commercial real estate and development. His past experience includes working at the Twin Cities Reader, Corporate Report, and City Pages. He also worked from 2001 to 2004 as a freelance writer focusing on regional magazine work.

Jake Anderson, Online and E-Newsletter Editor

Operating at the intersection of digital and print media, Jake Anderson manages TCB’s website, daily news coverage, social media channels, and twice-weekly Briefcase e-newsletter. He writes online breaking news stories and longer-form articles for the monthly print magazine on a wide range of topics and has occupied his current role since March 2010.

Gene Rebeck, Northern Minnesota Correspondent

Gene Rebeck, a former Twin Cities Business senior editor, serves as the magazine's northern Minnesota correspondent. Now a resident of Duluth, he covers established and emerging businesses in the region and also works as a freelance editor. His writing work has won several awards from the Minnesota Magazine Publishers Association and the American Society of Regional Business Publications. Before joining TCB, he was editorial director for a St. Paul trade publisher, as well as a freelance business and travel writer.

Kevin Mahoney joined Twin Cities Business in March 2013 after serving as an editorial intern for Mpls.St.Paul and a Web intern for a Wisconsin newspaper. He writes online news stories, prepares our twice-weekly e-newsletter, and contributes to the magazine. He also helps develop most of our social media content.

Chris makes this magazine look great every month. Her 35 years of art direction include Better Homes and Gardens, Mpls.St.Paul, and running her own design firm. She also has written and illustrated three children’s books.

Judy Arginteanu, Copy Editor

Judy meticulously reviews stories for typos and raises questions not only about grammar and sentence structure, but sometimes asks “What does this mean?” She has 20-plus years of experience at a variety of publications, including the St. Paul Pioneer Press and the Star Tribune, where she served as assistant features editor, among other roles.
